In this configuration, the top of the roller clears the frame of the conveyor by a small margin. A great example is Hytrol’s ABLR conveyor, wherein the top of the rollers surpasses the frame by 1.4’’.
Rollers Set Low
In this configuration, the top of the roller is well within the height of the frame. For instance, in Hytrol’s NBLR conveyor, the roller sits about 1-¾’’ lower than the top of the frame.
How To Select One For A Particular Operation?
RSH:
- Products requiring pulling from the conveyor system
- Where diverters or transfers are part of the material handling chain
- Where products are broader than the conveyor
RSL:
- When less downtime and more flexibility are preferred during installation and unpacking.
- Easier handling of narrow products due to lack of guardrails and reflectors.
- When products are to be conveyed smoothly across different beds. RSL enables this using flow tabs.
Therefore, depending on their requirements, an operator can choose between RSH or RSL for optimal results.
